Kanyakumari is situated on the southern tip of India; it is the place where three bodies of water, Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal meet. The sunrise and sunset from the beach of Kanyakumari is spectacular. There are a number of tourist destinations in and around Kanyakumari; these are Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thanumalayan Temple, Vattakottai Fort, Our Lady of Ransom Church, Kumari Amman Temple, Swamithope Pathi, and Thiruvalluvar Statue. You can reach Kanayakumari by air, road and train. Trivandrum International Airport is 67 km away, it is connected by road and rail as well. There are a number of 4 star and 3 star hotels; Hotel Triesea is a 4 star hotel, if you are looking for a 3 star hotel you can stay at hotel Sivamungan. Two good eateries are ‘The Ocean’ and ‘The Curry’.
