Guruvayur is famous for its Sree Krishna Temple; it is also called the Dwaraka of the South. Devotees come from all corners of the world to pray at Guruvayur. It is said that this temple was built by Guru. The main square Sreekovil houses the main deity and it also has images of Lord Ayyappa and Ganapathi. Devotees give many types of offerings to the Lord, one popular offering is known as Thulabharam. The devotees are first weighed against various items, including coconuts, sugar, bananas and jaggery before they are offered to the deity. We have a special one day package that starts from Kochi and takes you to Guruvayur and back to Kochi in one day. Please note that only Hindus are allowed inside the temple.
